The Executive Director of this company is a Filipina. In one of these business meetings, one of the guests was a giant staffing agency with over 200 staff, several satellite offices and a moderate benefits package. She knew she could not compete number-wise, but a thought sparked: “why not capitalize on what I bring over best?”. She then spoke about the over 400 Filipinos she has recruited since 1985, placing them on various jobs at the Marianas Pacific, Guam and the Micronesian Islands. She spoke about the nurses, engineers, computer specialists, scientists, geologists, accountants and auditors she has brought over to California and Texas since 1989 – and out of this small number, a big fraction of this number are now productive, tax-contributing U.S. citizens and parents of productive, tax-contributing UNITED STATES CITIZENS.
